KRIS BERNAL’s “Impostora” started airing on July 3 last year in GMA-7’s Afternoon Prime. Now, after 7 months, the show is on its last few days. It will end on February 9 and will be replaced by “The Stepdaughters” starring Megan Young, Mikael Daez and Katrina Halili. Kris says she will surely miss her dual roles in the hit soap, Nimfa and Rosette.
“Ilang buwan ko rin silang nakasama kaya I’m sure mami-miss ko sila nang husto, pati yung paglalagay ng prosthetic make up para baguhin ang mukha ko,” she says. “It was a test of patience for me, lalo na yung characterization ko kay Rosette na sobrang sama, but at least, I think nagawa ko namang ipakita ang pagkakaiba ng dalawang characters na ginampanan ko. Dito ko rin naipakitang kaya kong mag-portray ng both bida and kontrabida roles at the same time and I would like to thank GMA for giving me that rare chance.”
She got very good feedback for her acting in the show. “Dito talaga ako nakatanggap ng sobrang positive comments and people say I should win an acting award dahil I gave more than what they expected in playing my two very different roles,” she adds. “So sana, mapansin naman ng ating award-giving bodies lahat ng efforts at paghihirap ko rito. Yun talaga ang dream ko, to win an acting award, at sana ang ‘Impostora’ ang makapagbigay nito sa akin. As we end the show, I want to thank lahat ng mga nakasama ko rito, from Rafael Rosell as Homer, then Tita Elizabeth Oropesa and Tita Rosemarie Sonora, sina Assunta de Rossi, Ryan Eigenmann, Rita de Guzman, Aicelle Santos, Vaness del Moral, Marc Abaya at ang child stars na kasama namin dito.”
About her lovelife, Kris continues that the Chinese businessman with whom she has put up a business is not her boyfriend but some writers saw them shopping together and it’s obvious from their actions that they’re more than just close friends.
Kris admitted later that she and the guy (who she refuses to name) will be traveling together to Iceland after the taping of “Impostora” has ended. It’s the very same guy who she travelled with to Korea a couple of months ago.
