Then Tom gets an alluring new patient, Erich Gonzales, an aspiring model who’s the rival of Lovi. Erich wants her ugly birthmark removed by Tom. In the process, they get into a tempestuous affair and all hell breaks loose when Lovi learns about this. Tom says he has fiery love scenes with both Lovi and Erich.
“Yung kay Lovi, gusto ni Direk Joel Lamangan, all out kami,” he says. “Kailangan daw, may pumping scene. Bigla siyang sumigaw habang kinukunan ang eksena. Mag-pumping daw.”
Direk Joel butts in at this point: “Siempre, mag-asawa silang nagtatalik, kailangang mag-pump, di ba? Ano namang klaseng love making yun between husband and wife kung walang pumping?”
When he participates in the Bench underwear fashion show, Tom is always talked about because of his bulging crotch. Some folks say he’s just putting “lavacara” or towel to make it look big but Direk Joel vouches that “dakila talaga siya.”
Will Tom be willing to do a full frontal nudity scene? “Actually, in art school, when I was 18, nag-pose na ako ng nude in a painting session. Wala kasing makuhang models at kami-kami lang naman so I did it. But now, in the movies, it won’t be that easy. Maraming dapat i-consider. Is the role and the project worth it? Who’ll be the director and what will be the treatment? Mga ganun.”
Will he take his girlfriend Carla Abellana to the premiere night of “The Significant Other” and make her watch his love scenes with Lovi and Erich? “Why not? Alam naman niyang this is just part of our job as actors. I don’t really mind.”
What will they do on Valentine’s Day? “May naisip sana akong gagawin namin but it so happened she will be in Dubai on that day to do a show, so we won’t be together sa Valentine’s Day. Babawi na lang kami pagbalik niya.”
Have they talked about facing the altar? “Yes, but nothing serious. Kasi kailangang mag-ipon muna kami, for the wedding and for our future. Kung mananalo lang ako sa lotto, baka bukas, mag-propose na agad ako. But we have to prepare muna talaga seriously.”
