NEW KAPUSO heartthrob Bruno Gabriel wants to thank viewers who find time to watch their morning romcom, “Ang Forever Ko’y Ikaw”, which is aired right before “Eat Bulaga”. “We’re happy ng mga kasama kong sina Camille Prats, Neil Ryan Sese and Ayra Mariano, kasi so far, very positive naman ang feedback na natatanggap namin sa social media,” he says. “We know mabigat yung katapat naming programa, but we’re confident that slowly, we’ll also win the hearts of our loyal viewers. Maraming nakaka-relate sa main characters kasi pareho silang sawi. E, alam naman nating in real life, maraming sawi, mga iniwan ng lovers nila o disappointed sa love life nila so they’re sad and lonely, and ‘Forever Ko’y Ikaw’ is about inspiring people to give love another chance. Yun namang characters Ayra and I play, Benjie and Marione, we start on the wrong foot but hating each other, lagi kaming nag-aaway, then slowly we get to know each other better.”
How is it working with Ayra? “She’s a joy to work with. We’ve known each other kasi we attended the same acting and personality improvement workshops sa GMA. We’ve worked na rin together before in ‘GRIND’ at magaan siyang katrabaho. Now, we’re doing a romcom and we’re both enjoying it. And they say maganda raw ang chemistry namin on screen. I’m really loving this profession and I want to take acting very seriously.”
Does he mind that he’s being projected as a hunk? “Not at all. They ask me if I could do love scenes or an underwear scene and I said yes, It’s part of your job as an actor, so there’s nothing wrong in going sexy as long as may ipapakita ka at hindi ka mapapahiya. It’s not a big issue for me.”
