GINA ALAJAR will be wearing two hats simultaneously. As an actress, she’s currently making the life of Yasmien Kuri in “Hindi Ko Kayang Iwan Ka”. “Kontrabidang-kontrabida ako roon as the evil mother in law of Yasmien na ayaw siya para sa anak kong si Mike Tan,” she says. “And I’m enjoying it huh. Ang sarap paglaruan ng pagiging kontrabida ko.”
Now, she’s also all set to start work as a director. She’s happy to have been tapped by the Kapuso Network to direct the yet untitled new primetime show with Nora Aunor as one of her stars. The story conference was held recently and Ate Guy is just glad to be a Kapuso once again.
“My last soap with them was ‘Little Nanay’ with Kris Bernal almost three years ago pa and I’m glad to work with them again,” says the one and only Superstar who was just seen in Eat Bulaga’s special Holy Week presentation with Ryzza Mae Dizon and Pia Guanio.
Gina is very happy to direct Ate Guy for the first time. “I’m really looking forward to direct her in a drama like this,” she adds. “I did one of my most memorable movies with her, ‘Andrea, Paano Ba ang Maging Isa Ina’, directed by the late Gil Portes. I hope this will disprove rumors na meron daw kaming gap. I was so happy nga to see her during the storycon at nagyakapan pa kami ng mahigpit.”
Ate Guy will be co-staring with new and promising GMA young actresses Mikee Quintos and Kate Valdez, supported by Enrico Cuenca, Adrian Luis Alandy, Gardo Versoza, newly wed Vaness del Moral and another comebacking actor, Wendell Ramos, who’s glad to be a Kapuso again after starring in ABS-CBN’s “Wildflower”.
