“I felt so happy when I was informed na magkakasama kami ni Mikee sa bagong show kasi we’re really good friends na after having worked together then sa ‘Encantadia’,” says Kate who is actually much prettier in person than on screen. “And it’s even a bigger surprise that makakasama namin ang isang nirerespetong aktres like Ms. Nora Aunor. I’ve seen some of her work before at talagang hanga ako sa husay niya sa pag-arte. I’m sure marami kaming matutuhan from her.”
“This is a real big blessing for newcomers like us ni Kate,” says Mikee. “Nora Aunor is a living legend at big bonus na makakasama rin namin dito sina Ms. Cherie Gil at Mr. Gardo Versoza, na kasama ko rin ngayon sa ‘Sirkus’ and they’re both really very good. Tapos, we also have Mr. Wendell Ramos at ang director pa namin is Gina Alajar who handled us before sa acting workshops namin sa GMA kaya tiyak na great learning experience for us itong ‘Extraordinary Love’. Excited kami ni Kate kasi sa ‘Enca’ noon, magkakampi kami as Lira and Mira. Pero ngayon, baligtad ang sitwasyon kasi magiging magkaaway kami at marami kaming mga eksena ng tarayan dito kaya abangan nyo.”
GMA wants to make it clear that Nora Aunor has a special participation in the new drama series. Yes, she has a cut off time for her tapings, which is 10 PM, which some quarters think is too early since more senior stars like Gloria Romero and Eddie Garcia have 12 midnight as their cut off.
But in fairness to Ate Guy, she starts taping at 6 AM, which is earlier than the other stars. What we want to find out now is how would Ate Guy gauge the acting of the newcomers she’s working with for the first time, Kate and Mikee. Papasa kaya sa kanya ang kakayahan sa pag-arte ng mga baguhang ito?
