SUNSHINE CRUZ is very happy with her role in her new soap with GMA-7, “Kapag Nahati ang Puso” (which used to be titled “Karibal Ko ang Aking Ina”). But this time, susyal ang role ko, laging bihis na bihis, fashionista, at laging naka-high heels, so ibang-iba sa anumang ginawa ko before.”
How does it feel returning to GMA-7 after she did several soaps with ABS? “It’s nice. Parang homecoming kasi dito naman ako nagsimula talaga sa ‘That’s Entertainment’ and “GMA Supershow’ of the late Kuya Germs. And I really feel blessed and thankful sa magandang role na ibinigay nila sa’kin ngayon. Sabi niya, ang payat ko raw, baka tumalsik ako kapag sinampal niya ako and I told her kayang-kaya ko siya kasi I do boxing.”
Meantime, what can she say to bashers who bully her and her three daughters (Angelina Isabelle, Samantha Angeline at Angel Francheska) saying that they’re involved in the controversy of her ex-hubby Cesar Montano who was told to resign from the Tourism Board?
“Natatawa nga ako kasi these people are now even questioning the food we eat and even the clothes my children wear because of a person who we/they don’t get to see anymore,” she says. But I told my kids not to be ashamed or embarrassed at all, kasi ang pagkain at damit nila, ultimo sasakyang ginagamit nila, I’m the one who provide for them.
To these bullies and haters, kung may kasalanan sa inyo ang ibang tao, don’t involve other people especially my children.
Shine is also involved in the controversial situation of a Brunei-based businesswoman who she and other actresses sued for scamming them. The businesswoman had a presscon and tried to turn the tables on them so Shine explained her side in her social media account. She says: “For the record. I tried to talk to her about getting my money back privately for months, but it did not work. That’s why I coursed it through my lawyers na lang. She was a friend and I/We trusted her. I got into business with her, invested money for about 2 years for additional income since I am a single mom. I’ve been wanting to get my principal money back but she couldn’t deliver. Wag mo palabasing ginamit or pinerahan kita dahil hindi ka maiiyak o masasaktan ng ganito if I was not a good friend to you. Just an honorarium being given to us everytime we work/perform for your events. Pumapayag kami dahil kaibigan namin kayo. Dun tayo sa totoo. Be fair. We don’t deserve this from you. Let the courts decide.”
