“I told them I need a cut off, pumayag naman, pero ngayong nagte-taping na ako, hindi rin naman nasusunod,” she says. “Another request of mine is to let me go on leave every six weeks kasi I visit my boyfriend in the U.S.”
Yes, she has a new love life after so many years. “I never thought kung kelan magpi-50 na ako, doon pa ako uli magkaka-love life. Hindi ko naman hiningi ito but kusang dumating.”
Is he an American? “No, Filipino, but American citizen na. He’s a chemical engineer. My dermatologist friend set us up. Ayoko na sana, sabi ko, okay ng buhay ko. I don’t need a man anymore. But my friend insisted, so nag-blind date kami and now, we’re into a long distance relationship. He’s single, never had children. Don’t ask for his name ha. Wala munang name kasi very
private siya. I told him if he has intentions of having kids with me, hindi na puede. Okay na raw sa kanya ang mga anak ko ngayon. My daughter Lexi is now about to graduate from college. Her course is special education then she’ll go to the U.S. to take up her masters. My youngest boy naman is now 13, so okay na ako.”
In “Victor Magtanggol”, which starts airing this Monday night after “24 Oras”, she plays the new wife of Eric Quizon, a politician. “Una kong nakasama si Eric sa Regal, mga Regal babies pa kami. Now that we’re reunited, hindi na kami babies, kami na yung parents. It’s nice to be part of this show kasi ang laking production. GMA-7 is really spending so much to make sure it will please primetime viewers.”
