Anne Curtis All Fired Up For Her 21st Anniversary Concert At The Araneta Coliseum On August 18. She Says: 'Don't Miss It! Maraming Pasabog!"

ANNE CURTIS says 2018 is really an unforgettable year for her. She has a blockbuster hit in “Sid & Aya”. Her performance in “Buy Bust” as a hardhitting law enforcer is acclaimed here and abroad. She has an upcoming Metro Filmfest entry titled “Aurora” and her 21st anniversary concert will be held at the Araneta Coliseum on August 18 titled “Anne Kulit: Promise, Last na ‘To”.

“It’s really a great year,” she adds. “After I got married, I thought tatahimik na ang career ko, but no, heto, bigla akong naging busier than ever. Actually, itong concert is not my idea. Si Boss Vic del Rosario ang nakaisip nito. Pinag-isipan ko muna. Kasi yung first concert ko, sabi ko, one and only yun, first and last, pero nasundan pa. But naisip ko, 21st anniversary ko naman, so sige na nga. But last na ‘to, kasi I plan to slow down after this. In November, my husband and I (Erwan Heussaff) intend to have our honeymoon in South Africa. Kasi nga naging sobrang busy na ako after our wedding last year. Just recently, he texted me, kailan daw kaya kami puede mag-dinner ng just the two of us. I said, after the concert, kasi I intend to relax after that at magiging busy na lang ako for the promo of ‘Aurora’ for the December filmfest.”

We saw her when she was launched as a child actress in “Magic Kingdom” 21 years ago. What does she think are the highlights of her career? “Marami. After ‘Magic Kingdom’, I did my first teleserye, ‘Ikaw na Sana’. Sobrang fan ako ng TGIS so I was so thrilled when I became a part of it. Then I moved to ABS-CBN and did ‘Hiram’, kunsaan ako unang nakilala bilang aktres. Then I did my title roles, ‘Kampanerang Kuba’ and ‘Dyosa’, won my first best actress award in ‘Baler’, won the Box Office Queen award for ‘No Other Woman’, and then got a Platinum Record award for my album, ‘Anne Bisyosa’, kahit hindi naman talaga ako singer. Now, for ‘Anne Kulit’, I’m taking voice lessons again under Kitchie Molina and she said ang laki raw ng improvement sa boses ko. Kung before, I tried doing opera in my concert. Ngayon naman, I will do Broadway songs. Maraming pasabog kasi I will do duets with all my guests that include Regine Velasquez, Sarah Geronimo, James Reid, Ex Battalion and Aegis, with whom I’d be singing their hit song, ‘Halik’. And then iikutin ko ang buong Araneta while singing. Our musical director is Louie Ocampo and stage director is Paul Basinillo. But after this, I will give up my singing career and focus on acting and hosting na lang. Then we’ll start our own family.”
