“I’m in full costume here so I’m quite excited kasi matagal akong hindi nakakagawa ng ganitong role,” he says. “When they told me na itong role ko, dun ako napa-transfer dito sa GMA. It’s such a big project, ginastusan talaga, and I’m proud to be part of it. Later on, magkakatawang tao si Loki as Dr. Nikolai para makuha niya ang mjolnir.”
So how is it being a Kapuso? “Okay. Masarap silang katrabaho. At first, kabado ako kasi 22 years ako sa ABS-CBN, since ‘Palibhasa Lalake’ pa. Akala ko I’ll be out of place kasi kokonti lang ang kilala ko sa GMA, but they made me feel welcome. Lalo na si Alden at si Pancho Magno na kaeksena ko, ang babait nila. Ang maganda rito, when you give a suggestion, they take it in a nice way. At mas malaki rin ang talent fee ko.”
There were talks ABS-CBN frowned on the issue between him and Mylene Dizon when they did “The Good Son”. “No, wala akong problema sa ABS-CBN. Ang tagal ko na sa industriya, di man lang niya nirespeto. Puede siyang makulong ng six years for libel. Lalo akong nagalit doon sa sinulat pang maghihiwalay na raw kami ng misis ko (Priscilla Mereilles), which is definitely not true.”
