“Actually, ako ang dapat manghingi ng advice sa kanya as she studied acting formally at the New York University’s famous Tisch School for the Arts,” she says. “Baka mas marami siyang alam sa’kin in terms of new methods and techniques.”
Will Bianca eventually try acting in local films and TV shows? “Well, I’m really encouraging her, but it’s for her to decide. If it happens, then it happens. I’m the kind of parent who allows my children to spread their wings. It doesn’t really matter whether here at home or abroad.”
She’s now being directed by her former sister in law, Gina Alajar in “Onanay”. Does she have any plans of also directing someday? “I’m thinking about it, but nakikita ko si Gina and I realize na napakahirap pala talaga. I don’t know kung I can do it, but if ever, I won’t do soap na ngaragan ang taping. Sobrang hirap. Mas gusto ko ng movie, na ako rin mismo ang susulat ng script.”Helena, her character in GMA-7’s hit primetime show, “Onanay”, continues to incur the ire of viewers and gain her more haters for being so mean to Jo Berry as Onay. In one recent scene, she had an acting duel with Nora Aunor as Nelia in their confrontation scene which ends with Nelia stabbing Helena. “Intense talaga ang scene na yun,” says Cherie. “Sobrang inis na kasi si Ate Guy sa ginagawa kong pang-aapi sa anak niya. Pero kahit nasaksak niya ako, hindi niya ako napatay kaya mas lalo lang magagalit si Helena sa kanilang mag-iina nina Jo Berry and Mikee Quintos.”
