Gabby Concepcion Willing To Work With Sharon Cuneta In Gabay Guro After Their Aborted Film Reunion

GABBY CONCEPCION and ex-wife Sharon Cuneta are both guest performers in the coming Gabay Guro tribute for teachers, “Grand Gathering”, at the MOA Arena. Gabby attended the event’s presscon and says he sees no problem if they’d be sharing the same stage. It’ll be recalled that Sharon allegedly got miffed because Gabby, after they did a well received TV commercial for a fast food chain, was being difficult in doing their reunion movie so she chose to do a new movie instead with former BF Richard Gomez.

“Sa’kin, walang problema,” says Gabby. “I look forward to sharing the same stage with her this Sunday at the Gabay Guro event. Sana nga, matuloy.”

After his long-running hit afternoon show, “Ika-6 na Utos”, Gabby is now wrapping up work for a new dramatic movie based on the hit radio-TV-movie, “Gulong ng Palad”. This time, they give it a new title, “Man and Wife”, and he is paired with Jodi Sta. Maria, who’s just a few years older than his daughter with Sharon, KC Concepcion. This is directed by Laurice Guillen and will be entered as possible official entry in the coming December Metro Filmfest.

Aside from Gabby and Sharon, the 11th anniversary celebration of Gabay Guro will also feature Regine Velasquez, Ogie Alcasid, Martin NIevera, Jaya, Randy Santiago, Christian Bautista, and many more. Gabby says he commends Chaye Cabal-Revilla for spearheading this annual tribute to teachers.

“My mom is a teacher and I really believe in the power of education in nation-building so we all should support Gabay Guro in their advocacy,” he says. “Teachers get very low pay in our country so we should continue to encourage. Seeing their happy faces as we perform for them gives me so much satisfaction.”

The Gabay Guro annual Grand Gathering is exclusive for teachers who get the chance to win cellphones, motorcycle, a car and house and lot during the raffle.
