Piolo Pascual's Sunpiology Run Now On It's 10th Year, About His Lovelife, He Says: 'It's Not In My Agenda'

PIOLO PASCUAL was in two presscons last Monday. For lunch, he was at Prime Hotel for his new endorsement, Mega Sardines and, in the evening, he was in Novotel for his annual SunPiology project. Piolo is one actor who is very active in his advocacy for people achieving physical fitness to fight diabetes through running in his annual SunPiology sports event that also raises funds for the education of poor but deserving scholars.

SunPiology is now on its 10th year so the event is tagged as SunPiology Tr10 as there will be 3 ways to be part of this event: Sun Life Cycle Ph on November 17 at BGC, Sun Life Resolution and Sun Vs. Stars with Star Magic, both on January 26, 2019 at Camp Aguinaldo.

For Sun Life Cycle Ph, they will also be taking in bikers around four cities: Taguig, Makati, Manila & Pasay, for both beginners and seasoned bikers. It will include a Family Ride for 30 minutes, Tricycle Ride (100 m and 500 m), short ride (20 km) and long ride (40 km.) Piolo and Matteo Guidicelli will lead the race as Sun Life ambassadors. SunPiology has likewise evolved internationally and will now also be held in other countries for the Sun Life Resolution Run: at Malaysia on January 13, Indonesia on January 20, and Hongkong and Vietnam, both on January 27. Here in Manila, the country’s top stars will race for these beneficiaries: Hebreo Foundation, Institute for Studies on Diabetes, Nordhoff Foundation and Star Magic scholars. “Since we
started 10 years ago, marami na kaming napa-graduate in college,” says Piolo. “It’s so nice to see them and their families now having a better life. That’s why this is really so close to my heart. Through our wonderful friendship with Sun Life, we’ll be able to help more deserving children to obtain higher education and add more scholars.”

His next showbiz project is the movie on the recent war in Marawi with Robin Padilla. We heard it's delayed because the director, Sheron Dayoc, backed out from the project. “No. It’s true we have creative differences but we’re pushing with the project. We got delayed because we were not allowed to shoot on location in the actual ground zero in Marawi. It’s dangerous pa rin daw and it might put the lives of the cast and crew in danger. I have to shoot two other movies in October and November, one of them with Lav Diaz again. Then there’s a project which I cannot disclosed yet, but it’s for the 100th anniversary of Philippine Cinema. Wala muna akong projects sa TV kasi nakakapagod gumawa ng teleseryes. But as a producer for Spring Films, we have plenty of projects. We just shot an anime, ‘Hayop Ka’, directed by Avid Liongoren, using the voice of local stars. And my son has finished a new movie with Mariz Racal slated for January, directed by Boy2 Quizon. We’re distributing the Cinemalaya entry, ‘Kuya Wes’, starring Ogie Alcasid, for nationwide release in November, then I’ll be joining ASAP in Sydney, Australia, then my son and I will tour Canada, including New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco. So, as you can see, I have my hands full.”

How about his love life? Will Shaina Magdayao be his date again in the coming Star Magic Ball? “No, I will go alone. Last year, we were together, naging issue pa to some people and it was overplayed. We’re okay but I haven’t really spoken to her.”

So his lovelife remains zero? “As far as I’m concerned, if it comes, then it comes. But right now, it’s not in my agenda. Mag-iipon-ipon muna ako. Basta masaya ako as I am now. I have more time for my family and we all just had a vacation.”
