She obviously also enjoys her role as the goddess Sif in “Victor Magtanggol”, which is getting good feedback. “Andaming action scenes na pinagagawa sa’kin and I’m glad viewers appreciate na I don’t use a double sa fight scenes. Pinakamahirap yung sobrang dami ng guards or kawal na nakasagupa ko. May storyboard kaming sinusunod at hati-hati ang kuha sa dami ng iba’t ibang shots. It was a very long sequence kaya halos kalahating araw inabot ang aming taping for that sequence alone. Talagang nakakasakitan, nagkapasa-pasa ako, pero okay lang. Maganda namang lumabas ang eksena.”
Her career is undoubtedly doing well, but how
How is her spine that got hurt from lifting weights? “Awa ng Diyos at sa tulong ng physical therapist-coach ko, okay na siya. I was given the go signal to continue training and I can lift weights again. Kasalanan ko rin naman ang nangyari. Kasi kahit sobrang pagod ako sa taping, kulang sa tulog, I didn’t listen to my body at sige pa rin ako sa pagbubuhat, so I hurt my back. Now, I’m more careful not to put unnecessary strain on my body, especially my back. Hindi pa kasi as extreme as before ang ginagawa ko, but I think, with the help of my training coach, I’m getting there.”
She’s also more focus with her work now. “I really try my best to improve my craft. Addict ako sa workshops and I learned so much from the workshops of Hollywood coach Anthony Bova that I attended. You should always make yourself open kasi there’s always something new na matututuhan ka. Mr. Bova’s empowerment training for emotional and psychological alligment was really a big help in improving one’s performance.”
