Edgar Allan Guzman As Rufa Mae Quinto's Fickle Boyfriend In 'Bagyong Bheverlynn' & As Third Wheel To Gabby Concepcion & Jodi Sta. Maria In 'Man And Wife'

EDGAR ALLAN GUZMAN is a favorite “suki” in local film festivals. After winning a best actor award for “Ligo na You, Lapit na Me” for Cinemalaya and a number of best supporting actor awards for “Deadma Walking”, an entry in the Metro-Manila Filmfest, he did lead roles in “Mata Tapang” for Cine Filipino Filmfest and “Pinay Beauty” for Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino. Now, he has an entry in the ongoing Cinema One Filmfest, “Bagyong Bheverlynn”, a romantic comedy from indie filmmaker Charliebebs Gohetia where he is paired with Rufa Mae Quinto that is showing in selected theaters/ .

Why is title of their film “Bagyong Bheverlynn”? “Kasi, Rufa Mae plays a woman named Bheverlynn na kapag nagde-deliver ng hugot lines, naiipon at nagiging parang malakas na bagyo. I play Bradley at feeling pogi ako rito na may special powers din. Kapag nagyayabang si Bradley, may nangyayari rin, so dapat nyo yung abangan. It’s really nice to work with Rufa Mae again after such a long time. Very inventive ang director naming si Charliebebs Gohetia kaya’t tiyak na maaaliw kayo sa movie namin dahil kakaiba siyang klase ng romcom.”

Edgar Allan has also finished another new movie, “Man and Wife” (formerly “Gulong ng Palad”), directed by Laurice Guillen and starring Gabby Concepcion, Jodi Sta. Maria, Amy Austria, Liza Lorena, Ina Feleo, Dexter Doria, Cogie Domingo and Denise Laurel.
