Jessy Mendiola Proud To Have An Entry In The December Metro Filmfest, 'The Girl In The Orange Dress', That Pairs Her For The First Time With Jericho

JESSY MENDIOLA is so proud to be have an entry in the coming Metro-Manila Filmfest this December, “The Girl In the Orange Dress” where she is paired for the first time with Jericho Rosales. She plays the role of Ana, a sensitive, conservative girl who also has an adventurous spirit. She’s quite vulnerable when it comes to affairs of the heart because she’s been hurt before by a former boyfriend and this made her feel cynical about love and good looking men. She still wants to be in love but tries her best to resist it.

One night, she gets so drunk she ends up spending the night with Jericho Rosales, a popular actor who’s the idol of her best friend, Kakai, played by Ria Atayde. Jericho didn’t get her name and identifies her only as the girl in the orange dress, hence, the film’s title. She then hides her true identity so that her best friend Kakai won’t find out that she’s the girl Rye is looking for.

Kakai believes that she’s the only one destined to be with Rye and if she’d ever learn that Jessy has betrayed her, along with their two other BFF’s, Sheena Halili as Sasha and Hanna Ledesma as Denise who side with Kakai, that will surely be the end of all their friendship, which Jessy doesn’t want to lose. Directed by Jay Abello, “The Girl In the Orange Dress” is surely the romantic comedy you should watch out for in the Metro filmfest. Also in the cast are Maxene Magalona, Cai Cortez, Nico Antonio, Juan Miguel Severo, Maika Rivera, Via Antonio, with the special participation of Derek Ramsay, Tuesday Vargas, Karen Kaladkaren and Jennylyn Mercado, plus Luis Manzano and Boy Abunda.

“It’s a feel good movie about love and friendship, two things that are of utter importance in this world,” says Jessy. “I’m really happy to be able to get the chance to work with a great actor like Jericho as he’s very generous in our scenes together. I’m sure moviegoers will enjoy watching our movie from start to finish.”

Recently, Jessy was bashed for posting her photos wearing skimpy swimsuits in her social media account and he basher threatened to unfollow her. She patiently explained to her basher that her photos were taken while she’s on the beach. “Wala naman po akong bikini pics masyado,” she added. “Unfollow mo na lang ako. Take care.”

Obviously, the basher is just envious of her whistle bait figure. But as they say, if you’ve got it, flaunt it. So bashers, eat your hearts out. What with Jessy’s career really on the upswing these days. Right after “The Girl in the Orange Dress”, she will start shooting a new movie for Regal Entertainment. This is “Stranded”, where she will be paired for the first time with Arjo Atayde.
