Mikee Quintos Features 'Onanay' Cast And Set In Her Own Personal Vlog

 

MIKEE QUINTOS has her own vlog now and she granted the wish of her followers to show them the set of her current primetime GMA-7 show, “Onanay”. Of course, her fans are so thrilled and pleased to witness the behind-the-scene happenings on the taping of their favorite show. They say they are now all the more encouraged to watch the show faithfully every night.

MIkee wants to thank her more senior co-stars like Nora Aunor, Cherie Gil and Gardo Versoza for helping her and her co-stars, Kate Valdez and Enrico Cuenca, in honing their performances. “Kahit sila magagaling nang artista, they always give their best in each scene by preparing well for it. They never do a scene half-baked at lagi kaming tinutulungang younger stars to improve our acting. Ipinakita ko ito sa vlog ko and showed other fun facts about our taping na nagugustuhan naman ng mga manonood ng ‘Onanay’.”

Even if she’s now busy with work, Mikee has not neglected her college studies and continues to go to school. “Promise ko kasi yun sa parents ko when I asked their permission to join showbiz. Basta sabi nila, huwag kong pababayaan ang pag-aaral ko. As of now, fourth year na ako sa course kong architecture sa UST so konting paghihirap na lang at matatapos na rin ako. Sayang naman kung ngayon ko pa iiwanan ang studies ko.”

She’s thankful to “Onanay” director Gina Alajar for allowing her to do her school’s homework on the set of their show.

“Pinapayagan nila akong mag-aral in between takes. Hindi naman ako nahihirapan kasi pareho kong gusto ang mga ginagawa ko, ang pag-aartista at ang pag-aaral ko. When you’re doing something you love, it becomes so much easier. Kahit mahihirap na eksenang drama, okay lang gawin kasi nga puro professional at mahuhusay ang kasama ko. They all inspire me to do my best.”

In the story, Jo Berry as her mom Onay used to be hostile to her as it’s Kate who Onay favors. But now, Onay has become more caring and loving to Mikee as Maila. “Mabait na nga siya sa akin ngayon, pero marami pang twist sa story. Maging si Ms. Cherie Gil, mabait na rin sa’kin and also wants to win my confidence kasi akala niya, apo niya rin ako. But may magiging malaking rebelasyon about my character na talaga namang makaka-shock sa viewers. This is regarding the truth kung sino ba talaga ang tatay ko, so abangan ninyo yun.”
