“I’ve seen it at maganda talaga siya,” says Enrico. “The special effects are spectacular and really mind boggling. Mage-enjoy lahat, for the whole family ito, lalo ang mga bata.”
They’ve released other Jackie Chan films before, like “Chinese Zodiac” and “Kung Fu Yoga”, and both are mammoth hits. “Malaki talaga ang audience ng movies niya and in this movie, he’s back in top form doing his own acrobatic action scenes and stunts. Pinakita sa amin ang the making of the movie na ‘The Shadow Knight’. It’s a very thrilling epic action-fantasy at si Jackie talaga mismo ang gumagawa kahit noong scenes involving special effects kaya hahanga ka talaga sa kanya.”
In the story, Jackie plays Songling, a legendary demon hunter who hunts down monsters that enter our world to wreak havoc in the human dimension. He has a protege, a police detective named Fei (played by Austin Lei) to help him out in his mission and they are aided by a group of friendly other worldly creatures. When an evil supernatural force invades a village and take their girls to feast on their souls, it becomes Jackie’s duty to save them.
Also in the cast of “The Knight of Shadows” are Elaine Zhong, Lin Peng and Ethan Juan. It is directed by Jia Lu, who uses the monicker Vash for his international movies. He has worked in Hollywood in the 2010 Batman movie and in 2014, he directed the 3D flick called “Bugs”. The producer of “The Knight of Shadows” is Kiefer Liu, one of the pioneers of 3D movies in China who did the big hit, “The Monkey King”.
Enrico adds: “This will be our special Chinese New Year presentation and it will be available in some cinemas in 3D and 4D formats. We guarantee the viewers that they’ll be in for slambang action scenes, hilarious comedy, and revelations about a world beyond ours that is full of eye-popping visual effects, plus a Romeo and Juliet-like love story which is also perfect for the coming Valentine’s Day, so don’t miss it when it opens in theaters on February 6.”
