“May nagsa-suggest na gumawa naman kami ng prequel to ‘Die Beautiful’ set noong buhay pa yung character ni Paolo na si Trisha at may title na rin sila, ‘Live Beautiful’, so we’ll see,” says Perci. “Meantime, after the theatrical release of ‘Born Beautiful’, aasikasuhin naman namin ang TV series nito on Cignal TV. We have already complete 12 episodes.”
Meantime, Direk Jun Lana is busy with his own film projects. He has just completed a new movie, “Son of God”, starring Eddie Garcia (who won international acting awards for his movie, “Bwakaw”) and Jaclyn Jose. This is Part 3 of his trilogy on small towns that includes “Bwakaw” and “Barber’s Tales”. He happily reports that “Son of God, which is a passion project for him, has luckily been selected in the coming Hongkong Asia Film Financing Forum Inc.
The story is about a young boy, played by Elijah Canlas previously seen in “Sundalong Kanin”, who is searching for his long lost dad who turns out to be a priest, played by Eddie Garcia who at 90, still has very sharp memory and can memorize his very long lines in the script.
This movie is also co-produced with Cignal Entertainment and is just one of Lana’s two projects approved by Hongkong Asia Financing, the other one is “Between Sea and Sky”. Aside from this, Jun is also doing a family movie about the friendship between a girl and a dog starring Sarah Geronimo.
