Hit Noontime Show 'Sunday Pinasaya' Will Hold Its First Awards Night This Sunday

THE HIT SUNDAY noontime show, “Sunday PinaSaya”, started airing in 2015 and now, nearly four years later, it remains to be the highest rating show in its slot and cannot be toppled by competition. It now opens 2019 by holding their own awards presentation, giving honors to cast members and guest stars who gave memorable performances in their hit musical comedy-variety show.

This will be called the Sunday PinaSaya Awards and the nominated stars appeared in its various segments like “Cynthia’s School of Overacting”, “Adventures of Boobsie and Chuchay”, “Kantaserye”, “Kantaririt”, “Madramarama”, “Bilibid Or Not”, “Pinoy Super Mole”, “Boys Room”, “Girls Room”, “Mga Kuwento ni Lola Basher”, “The Resbakers” and other segments.

And here are the nominees: for Best Character: Ai Ai de las Alas as Donya Aivita, Joey Paras as Aling Goreng, Valeen Montenegro as Namoa, Wally Bayola as Coach Cynthia, and Ryzza Mae Dizon as Ma Es.



For best comedy ensemble: Boys’ Room, Pinoy Super Mole, Bilibid Or Not, Girls’ Room, Donyas of Manila.

For best comedy tandem: DJ Bae & Papa Pete (DJ Bae: Baelagtasan Edition featuring Alden Richards and Jerald Napoles), Chuchay & Boobsie (Adventures of Boobsie & Chuchay featuring Boobsie and Gladys Guevarra), Lolo Erning & Lolo Roger (Dos Lolos featuring Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola), Tina Warren & Dina M. (Hoy Shopping featuring Marian Rivera and Boobay)

Best Impersonator: Melanie Cahingco (Mike “Pekto” Nacua), Kissy Anino (Barbie Forteza), Pres. Rodney “Dugong” Juterte (Jose Manalo), Gen. Ronald Ibato (Wally Bayola).

Best Musical Number: Miguel Tanfelix & Bianca Umali (“A Love Story Dance Montage”), Marian Rivera (Everybody Wants to Rule the World”), Julie Anne San Jose, Ruru Madrid & Kim Last (“Summer in the Wild”), Alden Richards (“Laser Prod”).

Best Comedy Support: Betchay (Ryzza Mae Dizon), Jackylin (Barbie Forteza), Vicky (Valeen Montenegro), Papa Pete (Jerald Napoles).

Best Breakout in comedy of a Drama Actor: Ruru Madrid, Andre Paras, Bianca Umali, Miguel Tanfelix, Kim Last

Best Comedy Performance by a Guest: Dennis Trillo, Jennylyn Mercado, Carla Abellana, Maine Mendoza, Matt Evans, Super Tekla.
