Kiko Estrada Plays Young Robin Padilla In 'Bato, The Movie' And Is Sure To Move To ABS-CBN

KIKO ESTRADA plays the young Ronald de la Rosa in the biopic about the general’s life, “Bato, the Movie”. He even has a wedding scene with Alyssa Muhlach, who plays Bato’s wife, Nancy. Bato will later be played by Robin Padilla while Nancy will be portrayed by Beauty Gonzalez.

Kiko now admits that he’s playing beautiful music with Devon Seron. They first met when they did the horror movie, “Pwera Usog”, for Regal Entertainment two years ago, but became officially on only last August when they did the movie, “Walwal”.

Devon was discovered through PBB but she has since left the Kapamilya network and moved to GMA. The irony of it is now that, she is a Kapuso, Kiko has chosen to leave GMA and transfer to ABS-CBN. So how is it leaving Devon as a Kapuso?

“That will not be a problem naman,” he says. “Our relationship is not based on one’s being Kapuso or Kapamilya.”

What did he like in her? “She’s actually very simple, but very strong. I wish I could be like her.  She’s also very family-oriented and I admire her for that.”

He’s doing a new soap for ABS-CBN entitled “Kapalaran”, with JM de Guzman, Arci Munoz, Joey Marquez and Sylvia Sanchez. How come we heard that this wouldn’t push through because GMA-7 didn’t let him go?

“Hindi po, matutuloy na po,” he tells us. “Nag-usap na ang manager ko, si Arnold Vegafria, and the management and they allowed to let me go. Maayos naman ang lahat. Hindi ko naman dine-deny na may utang na loob ako sa GMA but I think it’s time to make another career move.”
