DIANA ZUBIRI is back in a new international TV series and in a new local teleserye. She joins her former “Encantadia” co-stars Iza Calzado, Sunshine Dizon and Karylle Yuzon in a big-budgeted show produced for iFlix live streaming, “Mystified”, directed by Mark Reyes. On GMA-7, she’s part of the new soap, “Dragon Lady”, along with Janine Gutierrez and Tom Rodriguez that will replace “Asawa Ko, Karibal Ko”.
Before this, Diana was also seen in a touching dramatic performance as a woman who gets pregnant and is later abandoned by her uncaring boyfriend. Her dad then forces her to marry instead, Wendell Ramos, the boyfriend of her sister, Sheena Halili. This is in the Bible-based Sunday drama, “Stories for the Soul”.

Although Diana is busy now as wife to Andy Smith and mother to their kids, she continues to miss acting. “Siempre, first love ko ito kaya hindi ko basta makakalimutan,” she says. “Kaya nga nagpapasalamat ako kapag may dumarating na magandang offers na gaya ng ‘Mystified’ and ‘Dragon Lady’, which are great projects so hindi ko puedeng palampasin. I’m happy to be working again with my good, good friends from
‘Encantadia’ and I’m also elated to be doing a new teleserye for GMA-7. I’m always excited to face the cameras again, but siempre, hands on mom pa rin ako sa mga anak ko.”
Even if she has given birth, Diana has maintained her curvaceous figure through sensible diet and diligent workouts. “Sa trabaho, artista ako, but when I get home, balik agad sa magiging hands-on wife and mother. Siempre, ang family ko pa rin ang priority ko.”
