ZOREN LEGASPI was torn between two women, Sunshine Cruz and Bing Loyzaga, in his last soap with GMA, “Kapag Nahati ang Puso”. In his newest drama show, “Sahaya”, he is once again torn between two women, Mylene Dizon and Ana Roces. He plays Harold, the father of Bianca Umali as Sahaya, his daughter with Mylene that he's not aware of, but he’s legally married to Ana Roces who has a daughter, Ashley Ortega, with Zoren as the stepdad.
“Sahaya” continues to climb up the rating charts and is number one in its slot in Mega-Manila ratings. People just love watching the struggles of Bianca as Sahaya, the marginalized Badjaw maiden, like when she met Zoren in Palawan not knowing he is her biological father and when people in a hospital discovered that she has healing powers.
A lot of people root for her in the various trials she has faced in her young life. When she returns to their village after she was kidnapped and sold by human traffickers, she discovers that her family has left the place and their seaside village has been sold to a greedy businessman, Eric Quizon as Hubert, who turns out to be the father of Migo Adecer as Jordan, the guy who helped rescue Sahaya from drowning after she escaped from the bad guys.
The scheming Snooky Serna as Salida then tries to deceive her once again and tells her that her family has abandoned her. Viewers are now wondering as to when she will meet her mother, Mylene Dizon as Manisan, once again. “Marami talagang nanonood ng ‘Sahaya’,” adds Zoren. “When people see me in public, they ask me kung ano na ba ang mangyayari kay Sahaya.”
Zoren and Carmina Villaroel’s twins, Mavy and Cassy, are now also in showbiz, doing hosting in “Sarap Di Ba?” and singing and dancing in “Studio 7”. So when will they do acting jobs in a teleserye?
“I really don’t know. It’s all up to them. Pero para sa amin ni Carmina, okay na muna yung ginagawa nila sa ngayon. Kasi iba ang soap, magdamagan ang taping. E, pareho silang nag-aaral pa. We don’t want them to neglect their studies. Sila rin naman, they’re confused as to whether they really want to try acting. Hindi rin makapag-decide for themselves.
"Kasi alam nilang demanding na trabaho, kailangan pa silang mag-workshop, so hayaan na muna silang mag-enjoy sa what they do now, hosting and dancing. 18 pa lang naman sila, let them enjoy their youth. Kinukuha na nga sila for a movie, but we said, huwag muna.”
