DAWN ZULUETA is working with Michael V for the first time in GMA Pictures’ “Family History”.
He obviously prepared well for it and he certainly knows what he is doing as a director.”
How about as a co-actor? “Our movie is a dramedy. Ang incidents portrayed here, parang sa totdoong buhay. Very solid ang story about the relationship of a married couple which can both be funny and sad. May dramatic scenes at nagulat ako, he’s a very sensitive actor pala and cries very easily.
"People who are used to seeing him do comedy will be surprised when they see him in our movie. At diyan mo nga makikita he’s really a good actor who can do both comedy and drama with equal ease.”
Her last teleserye was “You’re My Home” on ABS-CBN in 2016. When is she doing another soap? “Nag-guest naman ako sa ‘Ang Probinsyano’. But honestly, ayoko na muna mag-soap kasi yung magdamagang taping can really be stressful.
"The schedule can really be punishing. But so far, nothing dun sa mga na-offer sa akin really excites me.”
Another reason why she prefers to have a more relaxed schedule is her family. “It’s my choice to lie low on TV, kasi nga lumalaki na yung mga anak ko. My eldest, Jacobo, is now 14 years old, teenager na, at 10 naman yung bunso, si Ayisha. Nagbibinata na my son, at pareho silang mabilis lumaki, so I want to devote more time with them bago sila magkaroon ng sarili nilang mga buhay. Ayoko nung parati akong wala sa bahay. I want to be more available for them anytime they need me.”
