LOISA ANDALIO gets her biggest break in the iWant original digital mini-series, “Past Present Perfect?”, which has seven exciting episodes.  She plays the lead role of Shantal, co-starring with Shaina Magdayao and Vin Abrenica, directed by Dwein Baltazar who won best director awards for “Oda sa Wala” and “Gusto Ko with All My Hypothalamus”.

As Shantal, Loisa is a student in 2003 who falls in love with her teacher, Daniel, played by Vin, who sees her talent in writing and encourages her to take up creative writing in college. But she gets heartbroken when he goes abroad to study on a scholarship grant. Viewers who have seen her in the live streaming series are all praises for her performance and say it is really her best so far.

Loisa has gone through some tough times recently and she broke down when asked about this. She confesses that her parents have separated and she’s trying to be strong and brave for her family.

“Kailangan po nating magpakatatag at maging matapang,” she adds. “As our family’s breadwinner, hindi ko pwede ipakita sa family ko na siyempre apektado ako, pero ‘yun talaga ‘yung nagpapa-strong sa akin ngayon. I got depressed pero kailangang bumangon uli. I’m praying na sana, magkaayos pa rin sila someday.”

It’s good her boyfriend Ronnie Alonte is always by her side to cheer her up. Since her family problems are part of her past and present, does she see Ronnie to be a sure part of her future? “We don’t know, tingnan natin. Hindi naman natin masasabi kung ano ang mangyayari sa hinaharap. As of now, ayoko na lang pag-isipan yun.”

In “Past Present Perfect?”, Loisa’s role as Shantal in her 30s will be played by Shaina Magdayao. She has become a writer of romance novels but is currently experiencing writer’s block. To earn money, she translates textbooks and writes subtitles for porn films. Will she still be able to fulfill her dream to write poems and serious novels? Those who’ve seen the first episodes of this new digital series are now eagerly waiting to find out what will happen to Shantal, her career and her lovelife.
