MIGO ADECER'S EXPOSURE AS JORDAN IN 'SAHAYA' GIVING HIS CAREER A GREAT BOOST

MIGO ADECER is gaining a lot of new fans because of his good exposure in the hit GMA primetime series, “Sahaya”. His role as Jordan is very sympathetic and it’s definitely giving his career a very big boost. Jordan is lovable as he is the complete antithesis of his evil dad, Eric Quizon as Hubert, an evil and scheming businessman who wants to marginalize the Badjaws living in an island because of his greed.

Migo as Jordan earned a lot of pogi points as he doesn’t agree at all with his dad’s nefarious activities. He also knows the truth that it is not Bianca Umali as Sahaya’s lolo, Pen Medina, who hacked his dad and is willing to help Pen by paying his bail so he can get out of jail. The real culprit is Lovely Rivero, the mother of Miguel Tanfelix as Ahmad, who wants to avenge the death of her younger son earlier killed by Eric’s henchmen.

Migo is in love with Sahaya, but the problem is, Bianca has already committed herself to her childhood sweetheart, Miguel. The scene where Bianca and Miguel are finally reunited in the middle of the street, after they haven’t seen each other for so long, was truly so touching and many viewers confessed in the internet that they cried tears of joy as they watched this particular scene.

Some folks now pity Migo because it’s obvious that Bianca will never be his, no matter how truly devoted he is to her. But still, there’s no denying that “Sahaya” has helped in advancing Migo’s career. The role of Jordan is the best role assigned to him since he won as Ultimate Male Survivor in Starstruck 2015.

After this, he will be ripe for full stardom, specially now that GMA lacks good leading men material. Migo has the height, the hunky physique, the star quality and most of all, he has shown in “Sahaya” that he can also act. What’s nice is that he can make it on his own without the usual specific ka-love team. What can he say about this?

“Love teams do work well for some artists,” he says. “If there’s good chemistry between two stars that looks great on screen, it would benefit them both. But I don’t think an actor’s success can be measured just by the popularity of their loveteam. I believe if an artist is hardworking, very passionate about his craft and also a true professional in all his ways, then he will be able to flourish in his own career kahit wala siyang ka-love team.

"When ‘Sahaya’ started, I was a bit scared because I will be the third wheel in a popular teen love team. I don’t like to appear like a villain to their fans. But I just did my best and I want to thank the show’s writers because they made Jordan not evil but also a good person who really means well in helping Sahaya. I’d like to think I was able to give some justice to my role.”

What can he say now that a new batch of Starstruck hopeful will soon be introduced to the public? “It feels nostalgic for me. I met some of them and it’s nice to see the process that I went through happening again. I saw their eyes and they’re really hungry and inspired to make it as a finalist.”

What advice can he give them? “Just do their best, be who they really are and don’t pretend to be what they’re not. And they’ll be fine. When I joined, I just came from Australia, hindi ako marunong mag-Tagalog, but I’m glad GMA didn’t give up on me and was very patient in building me up. Now, they also allow me to show my love for music and singing in ‘Studio 7’, so I’m really happy. I cannot complain.”
