BIANCA UMALI is happy and proud that her hit primetime drama, “Sahaya”, continues to get very encouraging feedback. Some teachers and some members of the clergy are even endorsing it for enlightening us about the lives and culture of our deprived ethnic brothers, the Badjaws, and for imparting very valid positive messages in the show. Some netizens even call it “the soap opera for social change”.
“Nakakatuwa nga po dahil mas dumarami ang nakaka-appreciate ng aming show,” says Bianca. “When people see me in public, they call me ‘Sahaya’ and they tell me na huwag akong bibitaw sa kabila ng mga pang-aapi sa akin at sa nanay kong si Mylene Dizon as Manisan. And they add na kahit mabibigat ang maraming dramatic scenes sa show, nababalanse ito ng kilig factor sa love angle involving Sahaya and the two guys in her life, Miguel Tanfelix as Ahmad and Migo Adecer as Jordan. May kanya-kanya silang bet kung sino ang gusto nilang makatuluyan ni Sahaya.”
The show’s regular viewers seem to be so engrossed with the show. When Sahaya was cheated by her classmate and their teacher, a loyal viewers even called the attention of the Department of Education and the post went viral. When Sahaya finally struck back at her oppressor, the scheming Snooky Serna as Salida, the viewers made several memes about that particular scene to show they really approve that Sahaya is now fighting back. There internet is now flooded with various remarks praising Sahaya and here are some of them:

Bianca wants to thank all the show’s regular viewers. “Marami pong salamat sa patuloy nilang suporta,” she says. “Basta huwag silang magsasawa dahil marami pang magagandang developments at pasabog sa show.”
Meantime, Bianca is also happy to be part of GMA Pictures’ new movie, “Family History”, where she plays the love interest of Miguel Tanfelix, the son of Michael V and Dawn Zulueta in the story. She will attend the premiere night of the movie at SM Megamall tonight. The movie opens tomorrow in theaters nationwide.
