GEOFF EIGENMANN did a guest role in “Los Bastardos”, and now he plays a full length lead role opposite Maja Salvador in the horror-thriller, “The Killer Bride”. How does he feel about it?
“It’s overwhelming,” he says. “It’s unexpected. I took a break to focus on my family, but it’s good to be back with ABS-CBN and be part of a very big project like ‘The Killer Bride’.”
Geoff is now the dad of two kids, a girl and a boy, with his partner, singer Maya Flores. They’re hands on parents who personally take care of their kids even at night time. He has officially proposed to Maya last April, but they have yet to talk about the details of their wedding.
“Definitely, hindi na puede this year kasi patapos na ang taon,” he says. “So next year na and by that time, naglalakad na yung bunso naming boy and I want both our kids to have some participation in the wedding as flower girl and ring bearer. As of now, wala pang specific date or venue for the ceremony. Saka busy na ako sa taping ng ‘Killer Bride’, e.”
How is it to be paired with Maja anew in “The Killer Bride”?
“It’s always nice working with her. We’re comfortable with each other. We were first paired in a horror movie, ‘Villa Estrella’, exactly ten years ago. Then we did an episode in ‘Maalaala Mo Kaya’. Meron kaming sinimulang teleserye titled ‘Moon River’, pero hindi natuloy as it was sheved. Now, finally, magkasama kami sa ‘Killer Bride’ and mas masaya, kasi pareho na kaming more mature in our outlook in life.
"We play ill fated lovers from warring families. She’s Camila, a de la Torre and I’m Vito, a de la Cuesta, so our folks are against our forbidden love affair. Then tragedy happens and Maja is imprisoned and dies in a fire inside the jail. Then she comes back as the killer bride terrorizing our town. Ako naman, iba ang napangasawa ko, si Loren Burgos. Naiiba yung show kasi very gothic ang dating. I’m sure viewers will love it.”
