BOSS VIC DEL ROSARIO of Viva Entertainment will be given a Special Life Achievement Award by the QCinema International Filmfest that starts on October 13. He succeeded in establishing Viva Entertainment as one of the biggest, most enduring pillars in the entertainment industry for more than fifty years now.

QCinema is presenting the section, Viva Classics, as a tribute to the outstanding contributions of “Boss Vic”, as he is fondly called, to the local film industry. Three of the previous decades' well-loved hits will be shown during the festival.

First is the 1985 musical-drama “Bituing Walang Ningning” starring Sharon Cuneta, Cherie Gil and Christopher de Leon, as directed by the late Emmanuel H. Borlaza. Then there's the 1999 sexy drama, “Scorpio Nights 2” with Albert Martinez and Joyce JImenez as directed by Erik Matti.

The last is “Working Girls”, a 1984 star-studded ensemble comedy-drama about the the experiences of various women led by Gina Pareno, Hilda Koronel, Chanda Romero, Rio Locsin, Carmi Martin and many more, directed by the late Ishmael Bernal.  For more information and updates, visit qcinema.ph.
