BARBIE FORTEZA is happy to be reunited with real life BF Jak Roberto in this month’s featured love story in “Wagas”. This is the charming romantic comedy entitled “Wait Lang… Is This Love?” that started airing last Monday. Barbie plays a pretty girl named Yummy Bubuyog, who’s 21 years old and NBSB (No Boyfriend Since Birth).
She won’t get into a relationship by choice. Two of her aunts, Yayo Aguila and Tina Paner, are both certified man haters and they have a strong influence on her. “Sila ang tumayong mga magulang ko after my parents died at pareho silang bitter sa lalaki kaya yun ang ipinamulat nila sa akin,” says Barbie. “Pero siempre, deep inside, hindi nila alam may tinatago rin pala akong feelings. Yes, makyondi rin po ang lola nyo, pero lihim lang.”
Her aunts do not know that she has a big crush on Jak as Eugene, the all-around utility boy in their business called Walang Ka-Pares. But Barbie also doesn’t know that Jak has a long time crush on her.
They cannot express their feelings for each other but complications occur when a reach realtor come into their lives, Rey PJ Abellana as Rex, and his nephew Kristoffer Martin as Cedrick, who quickly develops a big crush on Barbie upon seeing her.
Unlike Jak who’s quiet, Kristoffer is more aggressive and quickly lets Barbie know about his feelings for her, making her so tense and nervous. She gets confused about her feelings for Kristoffer and tells herself: “Wait Lang… Is This Love?”
“Masaya ang month-long love story namin nina Jak at Kristoffer sa ‘Wagas’, kaya huwag nyo kaligtaang panoorin ito,” adds Barbie. “It’s really a feel good romantic comedy aired before ‘Eat Bulaga’ from Monday to Friday.”
