MARTIN DEL ROSARIO turned 27 last Monday and he celebrated his birthday on the set of “The Gift” with all his co-stars and the crew. He plays the villainous Jared and he’s glad that viewers hate his guts in “The Gift”, calling his character as pure evil.
“For me, it just means effective ako sa ginagawa ko as a contravida kay Alden Richards in the show kaya okay lang kahit magalit sila,” he says. “Sa social media, minumura nila talaga ako. But it’s fine with me na magalit sila, pero sa role ko lang at hindi sa akin mismo, ha. Mabait naman po ako sa totoong buhay, promise.”
The conflict in the show between him and Alden as Sep, who, he is not aware, is actually his half brother since they have the same mother, Jean Garcia as Nadia, becomes even more intense in the show’s next thrilling episodes.
Martin as Jared is stabbed while in prison and he makes their mom Nadia believe that it is Alden who is the mastermind in the attempts to kill him. This makes Nadia very angry with Alden, not knowing that it is Jared himself who paid someone to stab him as part of his plan to get out of prison.
Nadia is totally blind to the evil machinations of Jared and also her own husband, Christian Vasquez as Javier who manipulates everyone to hold on to power. On the bright side, though, Alden has reconciled with his Nanay Strawberry (Jo Berry) and Lola Char (Elizabeth Oropesa) after they lied to him about his late father.
They now join forces against the evil scheme of Jared and his father Javier. He goes to the jail and is able to touch the prisoner who stabbed Jared.
Because of his clairvoyant powers, he saw that it was Jared himself who paid the prisoner to stab him. Mikee Quintos as Amor gets to videotape on her phone the conversation of Alden with a cohort of Jared who admits that it’s Jared himself who paid someone to stab him. Will this be the end of Jared's evil acts?
