ARJO ATAYDE is one of the models of Beautederm for the Spruce & Dash line for men. At the solo presscon hosted for him by Beautederm big boss Rei Anicoche Tan, he thanked Beautederm for its continued trust to him and also his mom, Sylvia Sanchez, and his sister, Ria Atayde, who are also Beautederm product ambassadors.
Since he is endorsing Beautederm’s Brawn Anti-Perspirant White Spray for both underarms and feet, he is asked if he’d let his girlfriend, Maine Mendoza, to smell his kili-kili?
“I’ve been using Brawn Spray since last year and I’d say it’s realy effective,” he says. “I spray it on my feet before I put on my socks at kahit maghapon kong suot sa trabaho yung socks ko, when I get home at night and remove them, wala talagang amoy. Even sa armpits.”
So he’s very confident that Maine can smell his kili-kili and there will be no foul smell? “Ay opo, I’m very confident. The other Spruce & Dash products I use are Beau Charcoal Soap that keeps me fresh and smelling good all day long kahit pagod ka sa work, and Hugh Shaving Cream for a clean and smooth shave every day.”
Is it true that Arjo is now living independently and no longer lives with his parents in their home in White Plains? “Yes, may sarili na po akong condo unit. May kasama naman ako, my driver, pero mahirap, kasi you have to manage everything by yourself. But it’s a good learning experience.”
Will Rei Tan be willing to get Maine also as a Beautederm endorser? “Ay gustong-gusto ko. Hopefully, someday. We’ll have to talk about it,” says Ms. Tan. “If ever ikakasal sila, puede akong ninang kasi sa Beautederm, we’re a family.”
“And that’s one of the things I really appreciate in Beautederm,” adds Arjo. “I get to work with all the other endorsers, even from other networks, when we do mall shows or out of town shows at maganda ang bonding ng lahat. I can feel the sincerity of all the other ambassadors who have become my friends. Masaya kaming lahat.”
Since he used to be part of “Probinsyano”, is Robin Padilla’s accusation that Coco Martin pours water on sleeping crew members true?
“I was there and it’s all for fun, biru-biruan lang, so wala pong issue. The people working with Coco has been part of his team for so many years, since his ‘Juan de la Cruz’ days pa, so meron na silang tried and test working relationship. So whatever happened, it’s really for fun, joke lang and Coco’s people can attest to that.”
