CHRISTOPHER DE LEON is the first big local celebrity who bravely admitted to have tested positive to the dreaded COVID-19 virus and we admire him because, unlike other celebrities who get sick and decide to hide it, he chose to come clean with it instead of also concealing it. As such, more people are now praying for him and his quick and complete recovery, and we are most certainly one of them.
Bro. Boyet (as he is known by good friends in the industry) is absolutely not just one of the best actors in the local showbusiness but also one of the most well loved. He treats everyone well and he is known for his compassion and his deep faith in the Lord.
The strange thing is that he didn’t travel anywhere lately and he is not aware that he came into contact with anyone with the dreaded virus, so in all probability, he got it while taping for his current show on ABS-CBN, “Love Thy Woman”, which seems to be quite ill fated since its leading lady, Kim Chiu, also suffered from a reported case of mistaken identity and her van was sprayed with bullets recently.
In his social media account, this is what Bro. Bo wrote to officially inform the public:
“To all my family and friends, especially in the entertainment business,
Today, our doctor confirmed that I have COVID-19. I’ve had no recent travel history outside of the Philippines and no known contact with anyone who is positive to have the virus.
However, due to the nature of my work in the entertainment business, I have interacted with many people.
I therefore ask anyone who has come in contact me within the last week or two to observe stringent self-quarantine, observe for symptoms and follow the triage procedures published by the DOH, whether asymptomatic or not.
Please cooperate with the authorities in their contact tracing efforts. My wife Sandy, daughter Mica & our kasambahay are in self quarantine at home.
In this time of trial, we ask for your prayers and we continue to praise and thank the Lord for His goodness in our lives. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. ( 1Thessalonians 5:18 )

Bro. Bo will be celebrating his 40th wedding anniversary with his wife, Sandy Andolong, who is in the cast of GMA-7’s new soap, “First Yaya”, on March 27.
It’s a very important occasion and impressive milestone as 40 years is 40 years. Not every married couple can claim such an achievement.
So we want to congratulate them for thir 40th weddning anniversary and let’s all pray that Bro. Bo will be healed sooner than soon and that we all survive this troubled, trying times, with the Lord’s help, wiser and stronger.
