THE NEW LOVE team of Kyline Alcantara and Yasser Marta as Maggie and Jun in “Bilangin ang Bituin sa Langit” quickly gained a lot of followers who think they have exceptional chemistry with each other.
Their love affair is actually a forbidden one since they seem to have the same father, Zoren Legaspi, but with different mothers. For Kyline, it’s Mylene Dizon as Magnolia and for Yasser, it’s Ina Feleo as Margaux.
Although taping for the show has been temporarily stopped due to the corona virus crisis, we got to talk to Kyline days before the lockdown.
We ask Kyline: what’s your first impression of Yasser and did it eventually change as you get to know more about each other while taping the show?
“Actually, it helped that I have known Yasser since he guested before in ‘Kambal, Karibal’ before at may sampalan scene pa kami roon,” she says. “So doon kami una nagkakilala, but our interaction was just short.
"I got to know him better dito na sa ‘Bilangin ang Bituin sa Langit’. I got to know what he’s like when he’s on and when he’s off cam. Okay naman siya, machika. So we got along fine right away.
"I’m really fond of getting to know more of my co-artists because it feels like I’m somehow a part of their life and I get to create a stronger bond with them habang nagtatagal din ang working relationship namin sa set.”
So what do you do when you’re together on the set?
“On my part, whenever I’m not on set I take that time to study and reflect and I’m glad na ganun din ang attitude ni Yasser. Like me, he takes our job seriously. So we study our lines and future scenes together to make sure magagawa namin nang maayos when we’re in front of the camera.
"Direk Laurice Guillen also helped in guiding us in this respect. I reflect in a way that I look back at the scenes that I’ve done and check if I did good or I could’ve done better. We make it a point to collaborate well, try to study our scenes together and talk about how we will deliver it.”
Their fans are now hoping that their love team will be not only on but also off camera. What can she say to this?
“Naku, it’s too early to tell. And also, alam naman ni Yasser na I’m only 17 at marami pa akong other plans and priorities sa buhay. Hindi ko talaga priority as of now ang lovelife and he understands that naman po.”
Kyline continues to pray that the entire world will be able to survive this ordeal of the covid 19. “Dapat lang na mas lakasan natin ang kapit sa Panginoon at dagdagan natin ang pagtawag sa kanya para mapakinggan Niya tayo and He put up a stop na to this crisis affecting us all.”
