MARIAN RIVERA has started taping her comeback teleserye,”First Yaya”, and she’s glad that her daughter Zia has already graduated from toddler class and is now on vacation from school.
“Free na akong mag-taping uli,” she says. “May usapan kami ni Dong (her hubby) na hindi kami magsasabay sa paggawa ng teleserye kasi nga may work din siya sa ‘Descendants of the Sun’, pero since bakasyon na si Zia from school at ang bunso naming si Ziggy, mas malaki-laki na, then I felt na puede na akong bumalik in doing soaps.
"Also, inayos namin ni Dong aming taping schedules in such a way to make sure na habang wala ako, nandun naman siya sa bahay at. habang he’s busy, ako naman ang tatao sa house namin.”
She says misses doing teleseryes as her last one, “Super Ma’am”, was made more than two years ago. She’s not totally on leave, though, as she’s still hosting “Tadhana”, and she also did “Sunday Pinasaya” for a while.
“Pero na-miss ko talaga ang mag-acting,” she says. “Ibang creative outlet din kasi yun, e. And it’s good ‘First Yaya’ is not naman heavy drama kundi something light lang. It’s about a yaya na nakuhang tagapag-alaga ng mga anak ng presidente ng Pilipinas, played by Gabby Concepcion.
"At yun, enjoy naman kaming lahat sa set so far. Maganda yung takbo ng story ng show namin. Tiyak na maraming viewers ang matutuwa in watching it.”
Also in the cast of “First Yaya” playing various supporting roles are Pilar Pilapil, Glenda Garcia, Sandy Andolong, Pancho Magno, Kelvin Miranda, Princess Aguilar, Baeby Baste and Cassy Legaspi, the daughter of Carmina Villaroel and Zoren Legaspi in her first acting role.
Marian’s loyal fans quickly made their presence felt in social media, saying they cannot wait to see the first episode of “First Yaya” on the air.
“Miss ka na namin talagang umacting, Ms. Marian,” they say. “Mahusay ka kasi talaga, mapa-comedy man or mapa-drama. We’re sure magiging maganda ang resulta ng first show nyo together ni Sir Gabby Concepcion. Our wishes best for both of you and your new show.”
