JENNYLYN MERCADO and her inamorato, Dennis Trillo, performed live in their “Co-Love” segment of the no-contact online edition of “All Out Sundays” featuring top Kapuso stars.
They gave their own rendition of “I Need You Now” by Lady Antebellum and the reaction of their fans is very favorable. “Sobrang kinilig kami,” writes one netizen. “More duets, please!”
Jen played the bass guitar while Dennis played the acoustic guitar during their number. Jen revealed she’s really taking guitar lessons and is enjoying it.
“Habang tigil muna ang taping namin ng ‘Descendants of the Sun’ ni Dingdong Dantes, naisip kong kumuha ng guitar lessons and it’s worth it naman,” she says in her social media account.
“I strongly advise everyone to get to learn something new habang naka-quarantine tayong lahat at nakatengga lang sa bahay. Who would have thought ba na magkakaroon tayo ng ganitong kahabang free time in our hands.
"So dapat lang na samantalahin natin ito at gawin nating makabuluhan para hindi masayang ang oras natin. At this time na walang kasiguraduhan ang lahat, lahat tayo, we feel afraid, dapat matuto rin tayo to count our blessings.
I’m thankful kasama ko ang son ko, si Alex Jazz, to keep me company, and I miss my Mommy Lydia who passed in 2016, she would have been a big help kung nandito siya ngayon.”
Jen has also joined the TikTok craze and her fans are totally amused while she showcases her comedic side doing wacky things in her TikTok videos.
“Well, natutuwa naman akong naaaliw ko sila sa videos ko,” she beams. “Pati nga yung mga footage na nagkukulitan lang kami ni Dennis kasama yung mga alaga naming pusa, natutuwa rin sila, so hindi sayang ang pagod namin in doing our videos.”
Jen also invited her followers to help our medical frontliners.
“I really admire our health workers sa dedication nila para labanan ang virus. So, join na kayo sa GMA Kapuso Foundation in their campaign called ‘Labanan ang COVID-19’ para pambili ng mga gamit nila to protect themselves.
"You can donate sa Kapuso Foundation via online bank transfer. We will also use them to buy supplies for the medical personnel in government hospitals. We’ve already made donations to Ospital ng Metro-Manila and sa Research Institute for Tropical Medicine.”
