ANGEL LOCSIN with Fiance NEIL ARCE |
ANGEL LOCSIN stood out in the special free Facebook screening of Regal Films last weekend which is meant to raise funds for corona victims.
First to be shown was “Happy Together” with Kris Aquino and Eric Quizon, followed by “You To Me are Everything” with Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera who granted a live chat to their fans.
The last movie shown was “I Will Always Love You” with Richard Gutierrez and Angel Locsin who comprised a very successful love team in several hit movies before. Looks like the fans of their tandem want to see them together again as they were all very happy to watch them in their live chat before their film was screened.
Angel praised the very simple wedding ceremony of Richard with Sarah Lahbati after their grand wedding on March 14 was hindered by the lockdown. “To follow na lang yung big wedding,” said Chard. '"Kapag natapos na itong pandemic."
“Okay naman yung simple and intimate, very sincere nga ang naging dating,” said Angel.
Richard said because of the lockdown, Sarah and he got to devote more time to each other and their two sons, Zion and Kai. He then asked Angel about the date of her own wedding since she and her producer fiance, Neil Arce, have been officially engaged since June of 2019.
Angel replied: “Chard, alam mo naman, hindi ko pa puedeng sabihin, di ba? Pero basta, dapat ireserba mo na yon."
She admitted her wedding preparations with Neil Arce has been hampered by the lockdown. “Pero ayaw naman namin sabihing postponed na. Kasi yun ang pinaka-important day for us.
" Nag-rest nga kami from work para tumutok doon, kaya lang natigil dahil sa lockdown. Alangan naman i-risk namin when we don’t know yet kung anupa ang maaaring mangyayari.”
Her fans all laud Angel for her philanthropic works, specially during the lockdown where she extended help to a lot of folks in need, specially frontliners in hospitals.
Is this really in preparation for her entry into politics in 2022 since lots of people are urging her to run for the senate?
“Naku, sobrang wala talaga sa isip ko ang pumasok sa politics,” she said. “Kami naman pong mga artista, public servants din naman po kami bilang ang buhay namin, nasa public talaga kasi gusto naming magbigay ng entertainment sa mga tao. Lahat naman tayo, dapat tumulong sa ganitong panahon sa abot ng ating makakaya."
She and Richard declared they’re both open to the idea of doing a movie together again. “Basta maganda ang project at okay ang script na ibibigay sa amin,” they said.
We won’t be surprised if Regal Entertainment would offer more free screenings on social media since the feedback on this very first attempt of theirs is very positive.
