AUGUST brings televiewers a whole new television experience with Cignal TV & TV5 as the country’s leading pay-TV provider, Cignal TV, is partnering with free-to-air television network TV5, to offer some of the best entertainment programs while adapting to the new normal way of living.
Kapuso and Kapamilya stars get to work together for the first time in the new shows of TV5 that start airing this Saturday, August 15, at 8pm, with Ryan Agoncillo of “Eat Bulaga” hosting the talent show "Bangon Talentadong Pinoy" and with Kapamilya stars John Arcilla, Janice de Belen and Joross Gamboa as judges.
ABS-CBN stars Pokwang and Ria Atayde then team up with GMA's Pauleen Luna in hosting the new morning show, "Chika, BESH! (Basta Everyday Super Happy)", the morning show that’s guaranteed to make televiewers look forward to waking up every morning. It will impart reliable information and positive stories that will surely start your day right and make it happy and enjoyable.
Other Kapuso stars with their own primetime shows are comedians Wally Bayola and Paolo Ballesteros as twins Bebe Girl and Barbie Girl host "Bawal na Game Show" where the grand winner xan win P100,000 in each episode.
Meanwhile, Jose Manalo host "Fill in the Bank" with Pokwang, a Kapamilya. where the grand prize per episode in P150,000.
Both "Bawal na Game Show" and "Fill in the Bank" will premiere this Saturday, August 15 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM! Fill in the Bank will air every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7:30 PM after it premieres; while Bawal na Game Show remains on the 7:30 PM time slot, but airing every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
ABS-CBN star Jessy Mendiola will host the physical fitness show, "Fit for Life", Sundays at 7 am.
Pokwang says she personally feels happy working with TV5 and with Kapuso stars.
"It's a new experience for me na makasama si Pauleen sa talk show after I got to work with her hubby, Bossing Vic Sotto, in a movie na 'Tripol Trobol', kunsaan nakasama ko rin si Jose Manalo for the first time," she adds. "Enjoy ako. Masaya at magaan sila lahat katrabaho, along with TV5 na sobrang maasikaso rin sa kanilang talents. Sana magtagal ang shows namin."
TV5 Programming Head Perci Intalan says they made sure everyone involved in the show practice safety protocols in taping their various shows to avoid the dreaded virus.
“In ‘Bangon Talentadong Pinoy’, nasa house lang ang lahat, including host Ryan Agoncillo, for total social distancing,” he says. “What we learned from taping ‘Gameboys’ na shoot at home, we were able to apply dito sa ‘Bangon Talentadong Pinoy’.
"Even the judges na sina John Arcilla, Janice de Belen and Joross Gamboa, nasa respective homes din lang nila. Bago na ang mundo kaya bago na rin ang atake ng mga Pinoy.
"At yun ang ipinapakita namin sa 'Bangon Talentadong Pinoy'. Once na ipinakita ka sa show as a contestant, you win agad an automatic P2,000. Then pag pasok ka sa Top 4, may P10,000 ang bawat isa. Then ‘yung main winner for the week would win P50,000.”
Televiewers will also get to see a different side of Luchi Cruz Valdes as she opens up about issues that she has never talked about on "Usapang Real Life with Luchi Cruz-Valdes". Set to premiere also on August 15 (Saturday) at 9:00 PM, the show will delve into various narratives and inspiring case studies that aim to inspire, engage, and move viewers into action.
Some of the exciting celebrity guests to watch out for in the upcoming episodes include newscaster Karen Davila, actress KC Concepcion, celebrity couple Richard Gomez and Lucy Torres-Gomez, internet sensation Ivana Alawi, promising actress Jane De Leon, and Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray.
Lifestyle programs are likewise part of the new and improved programming lineup of TV5 in partnership with Cignal TV, the number one direct to home (DTH) satellite provider in the country. First off, there’s the fitness show hosted by actress and fitness enthusiast Jessy Mendiola called "Fit for Life", SUndayas at 7 AM.
