SHARON CUNETA was obviously touched when she saw her “panganay” KC Concepcion in “Usapang Real Life with Luchi Cruz Valdes” cyring and saying she felt so alone:
“Ang mama ko kasi, she has her own family. My papa also has his own family. They’re both married, they both have children with their husband and their wife. Ako lang kasi yung nag-iisang anak nila na silang dalawa, so meron akong complex na gusto ko silang maging proud sa akin. Gusto ko, may mga gagawin ako na ikaka-proud nila. Gusto ko lang na maging proud sila sa akin."
In response, Sharon later wrote in her own account: "My eldest, this baby girl, should never have been made to feel alone. She didn’t choose to be born into a family that started out with so much love only to be broken apart into a million pieces, like her mother’s heart. If I could...I would turn back the clock, and though I know the break-up still would have happened, I would try to shield her innocence from time.
"But the part of life I gave her isn’t mine. Yet I would...If only I could...Once, we were a family. And in a sense, whether we - or they - like it or not, we three still always will be, my Maria Kristina Cassandra Cuneta Concepcion. Papa and Mama will love you forever. You will always be our first child, the first who made us parents. If you’d had a brother, did you know your Papi would’ve named him Gavin?
"And your Mama of course, would’ve insisted on another name or two for him. Just like you. I forget how many of you we planned to have. But I wouldn’t have minded having 5 more like you. You are not alone. If anything, there’s more of us on both sides for you! Still...I feel you anak. Mija. Our baby girl. @itskcconcepcion"
Sharon added that when she did the movie “Pasan Ko ang Daigdig”, she felt like she really carried the whole world then as it was the time she and Gabby parted ways. She really worked so hard to prove she can stand on her own and KC was her inspiration.
“I didn’t stop until the public acknowledged me as being number 1 in the business, sealing my title of Megastar which the press had Christened me with. But what a way to get there. All I had was KC. Everything, every sacrifice was for her. Always HER first.
"I refused to rely on my parents who were insisting I just come home to them, because I wanted to set an example to KC to be able to rely on one’s self and not on any man to live. I did my best. Kung may kulang pa, hindi ko na poproblemahin yon. Basta ako alam kong I did EVERYTHING for her.
"Alam ni God yon. Pati sa pagpili ng mapapangasawa uli, una kong inisip ang magiging mabuting ama sa kanya over sa magiging mabuting asawa sa akin. Lahat. God knows everything. I gave it my best. I can live with that peacefully until the day I die.”
