BARBIE FORTEZA is so happy that after “Descendants of the Sun”, the next GMA primetime show to resume taping is her “Anak ni Waray vs. Anak ni Biday” with Kate Valdez, Dina Bonnevie and Snooky Serna.
“The cast and crew already had swab tests to make sure we’re all virus free on the set,” she says. “We’ve also done script reading through zoom meeting, in preparation for our taping that’s scheduled next week.
"We suggested the script reading so that we won’t need to do that anymore on the set at ready na kami to work agad. Para less physical contact din po sa taping.”
She says they’re all excited but they’re all still afraid to go out because of the virus. “
But we’re all eager na rin to go back to work. Na-missed na rin namin ang company ng isa’t isa. Six months na kaming walang ginagawa, e.”
She says it’s not healthy to be just stuck at home for so long.
“Imagine, nakatengga ka lang sa bahay kaya missed ko na ring umarte uli. Talagang we just have to do follow all the safety measures to make sure walang sinuman sa aming mai-infect ng virus while we’re taping.
"Iba na talaga ang proseso ng taping ngayon sa new normal kasi we all have to be safe. At siempre po, we need prayers, para protektahan kaming lahat ni Lord.”
Her co-star, Kate Valdez, says she’s also scared to go out but she has to go back to work.
“Hindi maiiwasang matakot kasi hindi pataas ng pataas ang cases ng positive sa virus,” she says.
“More than 200,000 na. Pero kailangang magtrabaho na uli kasi pataas din nang pataas ang mga bayarin. Nagpa-file up po kasi ang bills kaya doble ingat na lang po sa aming pagbabalik sa taping. Pinadala na po sa amin lahat ng safety guidelines while we’re working, so we just have to strictly follow them for our own good.”
