MYRTLE SARROSA WITH MEGASOFT HYGIENICS EXEC MS. AILEEN CHOI - GO
PBB TEENS big winner and now Kapuso star Myrtle Sarrosa just renewed her talent as endorser of Sisters Sanitary Napkins and Pantyliners of Megasoft Hygienic Products for the fourth year.
Ms. Aileen Choi Go, Megasoft top exec, says they have many plans for this year but the pandemic changed all that.
“Before the lockdown, we were going around schools to do shows for students as we promote Sisters,” says Ms. Aileen. “The last one we did before the pandemic was our 86th leg at the Aranguren Integrated School in Capas, Tarlac. We miss nga ni Myrtle doing these shows.”
So they have to resort to other means to maintain their connection with students all over the country. “We now do our promo shows online and we’re glad to have Myrtle as our brand ambassador as we couldn’t have reached out to students through our online events without Myrtle’s help.
"She’s a techie and she certainly knows how to do online shows which we couldn’t do without her assistance. We get to work hand in hand to promote good feminine hygiene in online platforms and even do online selling even with our other products kasi most people, hindi nakakalabas ng bahay.”
Some stars admitted feeling anxiety due to the lockdown. How about Myrtle?
“Siempre, boring kasi walang work. I miss connecting directly with the audience live in mall shows, school tours and concerts na nakikita mong napapasaya mo yung mga tao. Kalilipat ko pa lang sa GMA and I’m supposed to do a show pero hindi nga natuloy.
"But I do appear in the online shows of GMA Artist Center kaya may communication pa rin ako with viewers. In times like this, you have to learn how to adjust and channel your energy in other things where you excel.”
A top gamer before she joined showbiz, Myrtle returned to playing online games.
“Yes, I went back to online gaming sa Ragnarok Mobile Eternal Love in triple app and I even joined a Southeast Asian tournament with my team. Fortunately, even if thousands competed, we made it to the top 100 teams and I was hailed as one of the top Filipino players as the group leader for guild Exodiac.
"I was the highest ranking among the Filipinos pero yung mas mataas sa aking Pinoy, ka-guild ko rin. And now, I’m happy kasi I’m doing a movie on the Mamasapano massacre where I’ll also sing the theme song.”
We ask Ms Aileen why they’ve renewed Myrtle as the face of Sisters Napkins and Pantyliners once again.
“Simply because Myrtle continues to symbolize the image of a young woman who’s smart and empowered,” she says.
“She’s a good role model for the youth as she strived to get a college degree kahit busy siya with work, and even graduating with honors at that. We are truly proud to have Myrtle renew her contract with us once again in time for our company’s 20th celebration next month.”
