ROCCO NACINO confesses that he felt emotional when they had their last taping day for “Descendants of the Sun”.
“Noong last day namin, na-realized ko it’s going to be the last time I’d be wearing my military uniform dahil natapos na naming i-taping ang buong show, kaya naman mangiyak-ngiyak ako habang hinuhubad ko ang outfit ko,” he says.
He says he got very fond of the character he’s playing, known as Wolf.
“Thank you, Wolf, talagang minahal ko ang pagganap sa character mo, dahil sayo kaya ako naging isang Navy Reservist. The tears weren't just for the last taping day, it was all for the blessings that came because of the show.
"Now we sit back and wait, sabik kahit lahat na makita ang produkto ng pinaghirapan namin ng isang taon. Thank you to everyone involved in this show. This is Technical Sargeant Diego Ramos, aka Wolf, mission accomplished!”
Rocco is really a softie and he also can’t help but be emotional when his girlfriend, athlete Melissa Gohing, prepared a special surprise for him when they celebrated their 3rd anniversary recently. This is a labor of love video where Melissa assembled all their most memorable moments together, like trips abroad, dinners and other adventures.
Rocco posted the video on his social media account and wrote as caption:
“Happy 3rd Mi amor! Last week was a stressful week but Sept. 18 was definitely the highlight of this year for me. A beautiful surprise from my love @gohingmelissa on our 3rd Anniversary! Grabe ka dito love, thank you for always being the best at what you do, and what you do for me. I love you, Happy 3rd Anniversary to us Mi Amor."
Rocco got another milestone in his career when he became an honorary member of the rprestigious Naval Special Operations Group or NAVSOG. He thanked all those who helped him to get this achievement:
"Akala ko tapos na ang paghihirap ko nung sumabak kami ng Alpha Team sa training ng Special Forces para sa #DescendantsofTheSunPh, yun pala mararanasan ko ulit yung hirap sa aming culminating activities para ma-induct sa courses ng NAVSOG.
"Hindi biro, pero sulit ang hirap at ang mga aral na naidulot nito. At natawa ako nung biruin ako na naging totoo na ang suot ni Wolf, at hindi na isang costume. Thank you Philippine Navy, NAVSOG, AFP, for this honor and I am excited to take on more challenges and learnings with the leadership of our officers."
Meantime, Rocco’s film entry in the last Metro filmfest, the acclaimed romance “Write About Love”, is now being aired streaming on Netflix and it got positive feedback from viewers who saw it for the first time, making it one of the Top Ten Films in the Philippines Today of Netflix.
