LUCHI CRUZ VALDES is so glad that her TV5 talk show, “Usapang Real Life” or URL, is gaining more and more loyal followers, which is not surprising as it’s not only entertaining but also very informative. Even online, it now has more than a million subscribers.
Now, Luchi will be seen daily on TV5 with the start of their new primetime news program, “Frontline Pilipinas”, that will start airing this Monday. She will anchor it along with Raffy Tulfo, Cheryl Cosim, Ed Lingao and Lourd De Veyra, all formidable and credible news personalities.
Luchi will lead in doing one-on-one interviews concerning the hottest news of the day. WIth her PMPC Excellence in Broadcasting Lifetime Achievement Award and her KBP Golden Dove Broadcaster of the Year Award, Luchi remains to be one of the trustworthy interviewers in the country today.
Raffy Tulfo is known as the king of public service for his “Isumbong Mo Kay Tulfo” show with so many people asking for his help.
His monthly earnings from his youtube channel alone showing videos of people asking him to mediate in solving their problems is said to be in millions of pesos, making him one of the wealthiest people in media today.
Cheryl Cosim has been working on TV for more than two decades and is an award-winning news anchor and TV host. She has work with Raffy’s brother, Erwin, in the newscast “Aksyon” and now welcomes working with Raffy.
Ed Lingao is a veteran brocadcast journalist known for his enlightening segment “News ExplainED” where he probes into the nitty-gritty of the day’s hottest news.
Lourd De Veyra, a multi-Palanca Memorial Awardee in Literature, will be giving his own social commentary and observations about the latest trends and happenings in “Word of the Lourd”.
Luchi says “Frontline Pilipinas” will aim not just to report the news but to explain how they’re connected to the lives of ordinary viewers in a way they will easily understand.
“Ang layunin namin ay maging maasahang kasangga sa pagbabalita, boses ng may alam at may pakialam sa mga balita’t impormasyong dapat malaman,” she says.
“Dala nito ang pangakong maghayag ng mahahalagang balita at pagbibigay ng eksplanasyon at contexto sa mga manonood upang maintindihan nila ang kahulugan at koneksiyon ng mga balita sa kanilang mga buhay.

“Frontline Pilipinas” will start airing this October 5 and will be aired 6:30 to 7:30 PM on TV 5. On OnePH Channel 1 on Cignal TV, it will be shown at 8 PM.
