RK BAGATSING feels flattered to be chosen as the leading man of Beauty Gonzales and Jane Oineza in TV5’s new love triangle drama, “I Got You”.
In the story, he’s a soldier being treated by Beauty Gonzales, a psychotherapist, for post traumatic stress disorder and they fall in love, but they had to break up when Beauty discovered he’s lying about some things.
RK says he can now relate very well with his character as he has also broken up with his longtime girlfriend in real life.
“It’s so sad kasi matagal na kami, since high school pa,” he says. “At my age, 32, it’s my first breakup. Halos 15 years na rin kami. Maayos naman ang naging breakup namin.
"It’s a mutual decision. We just both felt it’s time that we have to move on and start a new chapter in our lives. We wished naman each other all the best.”
It’s good the offer to star in a new show like “I Got You” came as it helps him take his mind off the breakup.
“So, sa ngayon, focus muna ako totally dito sa career ko. Kasi acting is a good outlet for your feelings when you’re hurting, e. It helps you to move on,” he shares.
He feels lucky to have Beauty Gonzales and Jane Oineza as his leading ladies.
“Pareho silang very professional, parehong napakagaling, kaya they’ll inspire you to also give your best when you are doing scenes with them. And it also helps that our director is Dan Villegas, one of the best in the industry today. He really gets to bring out the best in each of us.”
“I Got You” is produced by Brightlight Productions for TV5. It started airing last Sunday at 2 PM and RK and co-stars are happy that the feedback about their show is very positive and encouraging so far.
