THE VERY FIRST MISS PHILIPPINES UNIVERSE PAGEANT UNDER SHAMCEY SUPSUP-LEE TO BE SHOWN ON GMA-7, SUNDAY 9 AM with REPLAY at 10:30 PM

 







     SOME OF THE CANDIDATES IN THE MISS UNIVERSE PHILIPPINES 2020 PAGEANT


THE FIRST MISS UNIVERSE PHILIPPINES pageant finals will be held in Baguio Country Club on Sunday morning, 9 AM, with live telecast on GMA-7, with a replay at 10:30 PM. With a script by the dashing and captivating Senedy Que, it will be hosted by KC Montero.



The current franchise holder and national director is former Bb. Pilipinas Universe Shamcey Supsup-Lee. She will do the opening number with American idol runner up Jessica Sanchez doing a pre-record number.



There are currently 46 contestants. 16 semi-finalists will be chosen then the top 5 finalists from which the final winner will be selected. 



Gazini Ganados, last year’s winner from former franchise holder, Bb. Pilipinas Charities, will be present to crown her successor. 


There will be no live audience at all because of the dangers of the corona pandemic.



For the first time, Jonas Gaffud, the pageant’s creative director, a national beauty pageant will permit contestants to speak and express themselves in their own native languages during the finals interviews and Q&A, with interpreters around.



The winner will represent the country in the next Miss Universe pageant, details of which have yet to be announced.
