GEOFF EIGENMANN started with ABS-CBN, then moved to GMA-7, then returned to ABS-CBN, but as of now, he is with Eagle Broadcasting’s Net25 playing the male lead in their first romantic drama series, “Ang Daigdig Ko’y Ikaw”.
“Ganun naman, e,” he says. “You go kunsaan may trabaho. I can’t stay idle, lalo na ngayon, my family is growing and I now have three kids.”
His partner is singer Maya Flores and their three children are Beanie, 3 years old; Angus, who’s 1, and a newborn, Pepper, who was born just last October 31.
“I’d like to have more kids sana. Kung puede, twins. But the doctor said it’s best magpa-ligate na si Maya kasi our three kids, puro by caesarian section, not normal delivery, so delikado, kasi magkakalapit sila.”
His mom, respected actress Gina Alajar, also advised him not to have a very big family.
“She said okay na yung tatlo kasi it’s hard to raise kids sa panahon ngayon. Anyway, we already have two girls and one boy. So our next project is to have a formal wedding. But dahil may pandemic pa, it would have to wait. We want something simple lang, not a big wedding.”
As of now, he’s just thankful that Net25 got him for “Ang Daigdig Ko’y Ikaw”.
“I feel so blessed kasi yung iba, walang work, but ako, nakuha rito to play the role of a seaman who’d be the love interest of Ynna Asistio. Buti naman nagtiwala sila sa akin at ang direktor naming si Eduardo Roy.’’
How is it working with Ynna Asistio?
“Nagkikita kami noon sa GMA, but this is really the first time we get to act together. Lock in taping kami kaya madali kaming naging comfortable with each other. She’s good. Puro take one nga ang mga eksena namin, e, kaya mabilis natatapos ang trabaho sa isang araw.”
How about Direk Edong Roy?
“First time ko rin to work with him. He’s very young but he surely knows what he’s doing. Magkakasundo kaming lahat sa taping, along with the other stars like Elizabeth Oropesa who plays our town mayor, Tanya Gomez, AJ Muhlach, and the rest.
"We’re just praying na magustuhan ito ng viewers para ma-extend kami. Kasi, as of now, one season lang ito, 13 weeks, so sana mag-click para mas humaba.”
