TOPNOTCH GMA Artist Center talents make their presence felt in the first-ever online edition of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) as they now appear in some of this year’s entries, continuing the holiday tradition among Filipino families of watching local movies, under the new normal.
Sought-after leading lady Sanya Lopez is sure to end the year on a high note as she stars in 'Isa Pang Bahaghari,' alongside a stellar cast top-billed by no less than the Superstar Nora Aunor who is currently seen in GMA's "Bilangin ang Bituin sa Langit".
In this family drama directed by Joel Lamangan, she breathes life to the role of Nora's youngest child who was forced into prostitution due to poverty. Also starring in the movie is Kapuso heartthrob Dave Bornea.
Multi-talented actors Martin Del Rosario, EA Guzman, Shaira Diaz, and Luis Hontiveros are set to showcase their acting prowess in ‘Coming Home.’ Directed by Adolfo Alix Jr., the family drama is centered around a married couple trying to keep their family together with a patriarch estranged as an OFW.
His wife finds out he fell in love with another woman abroad and calls it quits. Ten years later, he surprises his family when he comes home one night very sick.
Completing the list of GMAAC talents participating in this year’s MMFF are Kapuso teen stars Miggs Cuaderno, Elijah Alejo, Hailey Mendes, Princess Aguilar, Joshua Eugenio, and Jamir Zabarte (who plays the villain) who will take viewers on a fantasy-adventure in Christian Acuña’s big-budgeted fantasy-adventure flick, 'Magikland.'
Versatile actor and comedian Paolo Contis also plays a special cameo role. The film follows the story of four lonely kids who unexpectedly meet after playing the MagikLand mobile app on Christmas Eve. Not long after, a magical portal opens in their midst through which the children are transported from the real world to the mystical kingdom of MagikLand.
