ANGELINA CRUZ is the eldest daughter of Sunshine Cruz and Cesar Montano who turned 19 years old last September 24.
She has earlier released her extended play single with the songs “Kaya Mo Ba” and “Sumilong Ka” under Universal Records.
She’s now given her first big break in acting playing Cam, the daughter of John Estrada and Ellen Adarna in TV5’s new sitcom, “John en Ellen”.
How did her parents react when she said she wants to join showbiz?
“Ever since I was a kid, I’d see my parents acting and so they know that I’ve always been interested it,” she says at the show’s zoom presscon. “So when my mom told me that there’s an offer for me to do this show, I welcomed the opportunity to try it.”
Did she enjoy her lock in taping for the show in Antipolo?
“Oh yes, I’m now very thankful for this opportunity they gave me.
"At first, I was really nervous as I’m not that fluent with my Tagalog, but they taught me how to deliver my lines well and I also asked my mom to teach me. Everyone on the set was very helpful.”
How will John Estrada size up Angelina’s performance?
“Big revelation si Angelina rito. First time niyang umacting but ang galing niya. Hindi naman nakakapagtaka kasi we know na parehong magaling na actors ang parents niya,” John says.
