KATE VALDEZ & MIGO ADECER in 'EXCHANGE OF HEARTS'
GMA NEWS TV Channel 11 is really beefing up its programming with the introduction of new shows on primetime. This started with the hit romcom, “The Lost Recipe”, which launched the new love team of Mikee Quintos and Kelvin Miranda.
Now, they’re starting another new show that introduces new love teams as well, which is good as new stars are really the lifeblood of the industry.
This is ‘My Fantastic Pag-ibig”, an anthology of feel-good endearing love stories, which is just perfect to start in February as it is known as the love month.
The first love team to be given their chance on the spotlight is that of Kim de Leon and Lexi Gonzales, who was first paired in the “Tapsikret” episode of “All Out Sundays”.
Kim was the male winner in the last Starstruck 7 while Lexi was the first runner up among the females. The female winner was the petite Shayne Sava, and her ka-love team is the equally petite male runner up Abdul Rahman, and we must say they have a very cute chemistry, on screen and off.
Both pairs are so fresh and new and they have the potential of endearing themselves to adoring fans who are fond of teen love teams.
“We’re happy that GMA is giving us this break to star in our own episode in ‘My Fantastic Pag-ibig’,” says Kim. “It’s a very entertaining story of romance so don’t miss it.”
He says he didn’t know he’ll be paired with Lexi as it’s Shayne who’s his female counterpart as Starstruck winner? “But we trust the judgment of management,” he adds.
“Siguro, may nakita sila sa chemistry namin ni Lexi nang magkasama kami sa ‘All Out Sundays’. Now, we’re together not only in ‘My Fantastic Pag-ibig’ but also in ‘Eternal Flame’, the new comedy episode in ‘All Out Sundays’ with Paolo Contis and Glaiza de Castro.”
“I hope viewers will support me and Kim in our ‘My Fantastic Pag-ibig’ episode that is meant to give kilig to all those who believe in the power of love,” says Lexi.
“We did our best to make sure na magugustuhan ito ng viewers. Supported kami rito by Rodjun Cruz, Maey Bautista, Divine Aucina and Mike Liwag na talaga namang puro magagaling in their respective roles so don’t miss it.”
The goal of “My Fantastic Pag-ibig” is to give a break to the young and new but deserving talents in the GMA Artist Center stables.
The first offering stars Kim and Lexi in “Love Wars”, the story of two star crossed lovers. Kim is Pido, short Cupido as he is really Cupid.
He, of course, does not believe in dating apps as Cupid, because it’s actually his rival as a matchmaker. He is destined to be extinct because of this modern technology so his mission is to sabotage the digital app called Matchmaker.
But then he meets Lexi as Lovelyn, who works in the company that manages Matchmaker and whose goal is to make it more successful in matching lovers with each other. Unfortunately for Cupido, he himself unintentionally falls in love with Lovelyn.
What will happen now to his mission to destroy Matchmaker? Will he be able to accept his true feelings for someone who works with enemy? You can watch them on February 6, Saturday, at 7:30 PM.
The second episode stars the tandem of Migo Adecer and Kate Valdez, who are now seen weeknights in “Anak ni Waray vs. Anak ni Biday”. Their story is titled “Exchange of Hearts”, and will be the special Valentine presentation on February 13.
Migo plays Popoy while Kate is Celine. They’ve been sweethearts for sometime, but now, they’re about to break up as they believe their personalities don’t really match but clash.
Popoy is a photographer who is a carefree, easy going kind of guy while Celine is goal oriented and is so focused on her career.
On their 4th anniversary, Celine decides to break up with Popoy, who wants to give their relationship another chance.
Something unexpected happens to Celine and Popoy when they meet a plantita who turns out to be a witch played by Maureen Larrazabal. Will the witch help them get back together again or will she only cause them to drift further away from each other?
Watch out for more enchanting love stories and more fresh love teams in “My Fantastic Pag-ibig” that will make your Saturdays full of love and excitement.
Kapuso viewers abroad can watch it via GMA Life TV starting February 6. For more information, visit www.gmapinoytv.com.
