THE NUMBER ONE afternoon soap, “Prima Donnas”, will have its last telecast on Friday, February 19, so don’t miss its remaining explosive episodes full of many intriguing twists and surprises.
Katrina Halili says this is one of the most memorable soaps she has ever done in her entire career.
“Simply because mabait yung role ko rito as Lilian, the mother of the ‘Prima Donnas’,” she says.
“Alam nyo naman, usually, kontrabida ang role ko. Pero dito, ako yung inaapi-api ni Aiko Melendez as Kendra. All throughout the show, nagmamaldita siya sa amin ng mga anak ko.
"But now, the tables have been turned at oras na ng paniningil, kaya abangan nyo ang mga pasabog na matitinding confrontation scenes namin sa show.”
Now that the show has ended, there will be no more lock in tapings for her and she can devote more time to her 8-year old daughter Katie, who looks more like her dad, singer Kris Lawrence.
Katrina is peacefully co-parenting with Kris and she really wants their daughter to cultivate a good relationship with her dad, who now has a new partner and a new baby named Lyric, while Katrina herself remains unattached.
“Hindi ko siya pinagdadamot sa ama niya at puede silang mag-usap anytime,” she says.
“They do video call, dun sila nagkukumustahan. Dinalaw siya minsan sa bahay, pero in full protective gear ang papa niya for their own mutual protection. Pero hindi niya puedeng hiramin at ilabas ang bata kasi nga, may pandemya.
"Siguro, kapag natapos na itong health crisis na pinagdaraanan natin, puede na silang mag-bonding uli sa labas. Gusto ring ma-meet ni Katie ang kapatid niya sa ama.”
Katrina will be resting for a while until she gets her next assignment with GMA which is now busy producing more entertainment shows for two stations, GMA-7 and GMA News Channel 11.
Replacing “Prima Donnas” on Monday, February 22, is the intense family drama, “Babawiin Ko ang Lahat” starring Pauline Mendoza in her first starring role, with Carmina Villaroel and John Estrada.
