PAULINE MENDOZA is given her biggest break in GMA-7’s newest drama series, “Babawiin Ko ang Lahat”, which starts airing on Afternoon Prime this coming Monday, February 22.
The 21-year old Pauline started acting in 2015 playing a supporting role in “Little Nanay”, followed by other soaps like “That’s My Amboy”, “My Love from the Star” and “Kambal Karibal” where she played the challenging role of Crisel.
And what’s her role in “Babawiin Ko ang Lahat”?
“I play Iris, anak po ako nina John Estrada as Victor and Tanya Garcia as Cristine,” she says.
“We’re a happy family. But my father had a previous wife, played by Miss Carmina Villaroel as Dulce, na iniwan siya kasi mahirap siya. With Tanya and me as his family, his life improved at yumaman siya, so bumalik si Carmina at inagaw sa amin ang father ko.”
She’s happy to be working with senior cast members who are all great actors in their own right.
“Si Miss Carmina, as the scheming and greedy first wife of my dad, nakatrabaho ko na before in ‘Kambal Karibal’ pero kontrabida siya ngayon dito.
"I’m so happy to work with her again as she’s very helpful in giving me acting tips. Very comfortable ako with her kahit magkaaway kami sa story at aapihin niya ako nang husto.”
How about John and Tanya?
“I’m very thankful na sila ang gumaganap na parents ko. We were together sa lock in taping sa Batangas for one month at talagang parang naging magulang ko sila na inaalalayan ako in our scenes together. They are always there to guide me and I can really feel yung suporta nila sa akin.”
During their rest periods and in between takes, Carmina, John and Tanya would also tell her stories about their own experiences when they were starting in showbiz.
“Sa tagal namin sa lock in taping, marami talaga akong positive experiences with them. Maraming challenges sa set, but they were always there para tulungan ako. We were able to connect really well with the rest of the cast at naging maganda ang bonding naming lahat.
"Hindi ko talaga ine-expect na magiging very close ako sa kanila at nagtutulungan kami talaga pagdating sa mahihirap na eksena. It was a very pleasant experience for me na ang dami ko talagang natutuhan about acting and the industry itself.”
Also in the big powerhouse cast are Neil Ryan Sese, Kristoffer Martin, Dave Bornea, Therese Malvar, Gio Alvarez, Liezel Lopez, Manolo Pedroza, with the special participation of Jett Pangan, Jenine Desiderio, and Charee Pineda.
Don’t miss this intense, explosive drama of family, love and revenge when it starts airing on Monday, replacing “Prima Donnas” that ends this Friday.
